(JKPL) — Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s Summer Reading Program: “Imagine Your Story” is excited to share limited public programs and services with the community. We hope you will let your imagination soar with us! Registration is required and opened Saturday, August 1, 2020.

Valid Joeten-Kiyu Public Library Card required. Limited seats. First registered, first served. Patrons are encouraged to please call (670) 235-7315/7322/7323 (READ) to register Tuesdays to Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Age: 0-5 years old

Craft to Go Supplies Included

Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays: August 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, and

22, 2020

Session A: August 4, 6,8,11,13,15,18,20, and 22, 2020 from 10:30a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Session B: August 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, and 20, 2020 from 12:30p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration Required. Capacity: 15 seats

FREE American Red Cross-NMI Chapter Pillowcase Project

Ages: 8 years old to 12 years old.

Schedule: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays: August 4,5,6, 11, 12,13, 18,19,and

20, 2020 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30p.m.

Registration Required. Incentives included. Capacity: 15 seats.

in partnership with the American Library Association and Grow with Google

Ages: Teens and Adults

Schedule (by appointment): Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (August

4,5,6,11,12,13,18,19 and 20, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.); Fridays and Saturdays (August

7,8,14,15,21, and 22, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.)

Registration Required. Capacity: 5 seats (onsite); Virtual (20).

Friends of Joeten-Kiyu Public Library sponsored community contests:

1st Annual “I Love the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library” and “I Love the Bookmobile” Writing Contest. We encourage students from our CNMI elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools to submit an original piece of writing based on the topic: “I Love the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library.” Top prizes of $50 will be awarded in each of three school categories: Elementary (1st grade-5th grade); Middle School (6th grade-8th grade), High School (9th grade- 12th grade).

Imagine Your Story Summer Reading Program Photo/Video Contest:

Take a picture or video of yourself doing either of the following activities: reading, visiting the library, attending a library program, working on your Summer Reading Package to Go, with your library card, or doing an activity which involves the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library.
