(DCCA-CCAC) — The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs-Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture is encouraging visual, traditional, and performing artists, as well as non-profit organizations and food vendors to register for the 39th Annual Flame Tree Arts Festival scheduled for April 16-19, 2020 at the Civic Center Park in Susupe, Saipan.

Registration fees for this year’s festival are as follows:

• CCAC Registered Artist

One free booth

$60 for additional booth

• New or Non-Registered Artist

$150

• Information Booth

$150

• Non-Profit Organization/Non-Food

$350

• Private/Commercial Vendor (Food)

$1,000

Registration forms are available for pick up at the CCAC office on Capital Hill and the Carolinian Affairs Office in Garapan. In addition, registration forms are also available for download on the CCAC website at http://www.cnmiartscouncil.org and on the DCCA website at http://www.dcca.gov.mp

All food vendor registration forms are due on or before Monday, March 16, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. There are thirteen food vendor slots available on a first come, first served basis. All other vendor registration forms are due on or before Monday, March 30, 2020 at 4:30 pm. Registration forms must be submitted to the CCAC office on Capital Hill.

The Flame Tree Arts Festival is free and open to the public. It is the biggest annual festival that celebrates the rich art and cultural heritage of the CNMI. The annual festival showcases the finest arts by featuring a wide selection of artworks from CNMI registered and non-registered artists, both traditional and contemporary, using different mediums and offering varied price ranges to suit anyone’s taste and budget. The festival also showcases artwork from official off-island delegates.

The festival also offers amazing performances from local and visiting groups and musicians, art demonstrations, and an array of delightful festival food favorites for an enjoyable weekend with family and friends.
