THE CPA Hustlers returned fire late in the game, with Dustin Sablan leading the break and enabling a three-run score to defeat Udan, 12-10, and claim the 2020 Islandwide Coed Bud Light Softball League championship on Aug. 24 on Tinian.

Udan started strong and drew first blood. Slowly but surely, Udan built enough momentum to stay in control with a 7-0 lead. However, the CPA Hustlers managed to shut down Udan's offensive streak and worked their way back, 9-10.

It was do-or-die for CPA, and with the help of Sablan's solid base hit to right field with the bases fully loaded, he brought home his teammates and bested Udan, 12-10.

Sablan was named the Most Valuable Player of both the regular season and the championship game.

The consolation match was also held that day between the DPW Grounders and the DPS Five-O.

The Grounders exploded in the opening inning with a 6-0 lead, but as soon as the Five-O players found their footing, they closed the gap in the fourth inning to stay within reach.

The Grounders were unable to kill Five-O's momentum as DPS continued to bring in more runs en route to a 22-16 victory.

The 2020 Islandwide Coed Bud Light Softball League would like to thank Guy Pudney and Marpac, the main sponsor, for their generous and invaluable support.
