Keoni Chariton is Amigos August Ace

KEONI Chariton made his way onto the list of elite players after claiming the August Ace of the Month title of the Amigos Golf Club on Sunday at the Kingfisher Golf Links. 

This month, 37 members vied for the top eight spots during the qualifying round during which Chariton stole the show with a superior performance. He completed the course with a gross of 86 and with the aid of a handicap of 27, concluded day 1 with a net score of 59. The ace round was a much tougher battle as he struggled to find his stroke, but he still managed to complete all holes with a decent gross of 96. With his handicap of 27, his net score was reduced to 69 for a net total of 128.

Taking second place was Chris Guerrero. He had a bad start, ending the qualifying round with a gross of 99, supported by a handicap of 26 for a net score of 73. He then stepped up his game on day 2 when it counted the most, notching a gross of 88 to end with a net score of 62 for a net total of 135. 

Third place was shared by mother and son Sherlyn and Darrion Jones who finished with a net total of 137. Darrion Jones played well in the qualifying round with a gross of 85 and a handicap of 21 for a net score of 94. However, during the ace round he grossed 94 for a net of 73. For her part, Sherlyn Jones had a gross of 83 on day 1 and 84 on day 2 with a handicap of 15.

Aside from the top three winners, the closest to the pin awardees were also acknowledged. Dung Tenorio was the closest to the pin at hole #6; Frank Sablan at hole #8; Ed Manglona at hole #12; and Chris Guerrero at hole #15. They each received $175.
