DON Hallmark topped the Marianas Golf Association July Ace of the Month tournament on Sunday, besting 18 other golfers at the Laolao Bay East Course.

Although Hallmark did not have the lowest score during the front nine, he played exceptionally well, keeping his errors down to a minimum and ended with a gross of 42 to secure a spot in the top five. The back nine seemed to be the tougher half of the course, but Hallmark kept his strokes steady to complete the day with a gross of 45 and a total score of 87.  With a handicap of 24, his net total went down to 63, allowing him to secure the July Ace of the Month title.

Shadowing Hallmark was Jeff Tomokane who played equally well. He trailed closely throughout the front and back nine, and ended with a score of 45 and 44 for a gross of 89. His handicap of 24 put him in second place with a net total of 65.

Gerald Deleon Guerrero excelled in the first nine holes and executed a few pars to hold the lowest gross score of the day at 39. But despite his strong start, he could not hold onto his swing, dropping his gross to 44 for a total score of 83. With a handicap of 17, he finished third with a net total of 66.
