AFTER being postponed for three months, the CNMI Women's Golf Association finally resumed its tournament on Saturday, July 11, with Sherlyn Jones winning the Ace of July title at the Kingfisher Golf Links.

Jones kept a steady swing throughout the back nine, holding three par-4s to end with a gross of 43. The front nine seemed a little tougher for her, falling toward a handful of bogeys, but she did make it up  in hole #11 where she ended with a birdie and three pars to hold a combined gross score of 84. Aided by a handicap of 12, Jones closed out the tournament on top with a net total of 72.

Flor Jones gave Sherlyn a good scare by playing well, ending her first three holes at par. But she started to lose touch, closing the back nine with a gross of 43. However, the front nine proved to be the tougher portion of the course as she only made three pars, putting her behind with a gross of 91. Her handicap of 16 gave her a little wiggle room, but she had to settle for second place with a net total of 75.

Lou Kim came in third with a gross of 47 on the back nine, and ended the front nine with a combined gross of 95. With a handicap of 19, she notched third place with a net total of 76.

Fourth was Rose Rohringer with a net total of 77 followed by Mio Kim with a net total of 78.
