URBAN Fitness Project, Guam is inviting the Northern Marianas to participate in a virtual triathlon event  scheduled for July 1 to 31, 2020 to raise money and support front liners in purchasing or receiving personal protective equipment or PPE items.

All of the proceeds will go to this cause, said James Sardea, owner of the Urban Fitness Project and creator of the Go the Distance or GTD Challenge.

“After the Covid-19 lockdown,” he added,  “people gained weight and lost motivation to keep fit or even just to get out to enjoy the sun. So this event is needed to also jumpstart everyone to work out.”

He said the challenge will allow everyone “to get out and exercise while following social distancing guidelines. We can fight this Covid-19 by staying healthy and strong while getting the PPE that the front liners need!”
