Brian Camacho is March Ace of the Month

RIGHT before the island-wide lockdown took effect, Brian Camacho displayed his A-game as he topped the Amigos Golf Club’s March Ace of the Month tournament at the Kingfisher Golf Links on March 8 and 22.

During the qualifying round on March 8, Camacho found his stroke and never lost grip as he ended the event with a gross of 89. Holding a handicap of 20, he closed with a net score of 69.

 Following a two-week break, Camacho continued to dominate the course with an even better performance in the Ace round on March 22 to seal the deal. He executed more birdies as he scored a low gross of 82, and with a handicap of 20 he finished with a net of 62. The steady performance of Camacho earned him a net total of 131, allowing him to claim first place.

For his part, Chris Guerrero had a rough start, ending the qualifying round with a net of 70. He ended with a gross of 97 and a handicap of 27. Guerrero improved in the following Ace round, grossing 93 and with a handicap of 27, his net was 66. His total net was 136, good enough for second place.

Finishing third was Marco Peter. He did well with a gross 77, but with only a handicap of 14, his net score was 63. He failed to keep the pace on March 22, but still managed to finish strong, closing out with a net of 75. His net total was 138, which earned him third place.

The honorable mentions were Sherlyn Jones with a total net score of 140; Ben Jones Jr., 142; and Dung Tenorio, 143.
