“We have been carefully planning this trip, but unfortunately, due to this pandemic, we have canceled it until further notice,” said player and coach Jenny Lee. “We are always planning to branch out for more learning and growing opportunities that will benefit our team — hopefully, by next year we can move forward with our plans.”

The Lady Rollers have also canceled their team practices at the Koblerville Gym until further notice. In the meantime, they are trying to stay fit during their self-quarantine.

The Lady Rollers are Fiona Bucalig, Kaia Travilla, Gia Hemley, Bernadette Quitaneg, Nathanette Marie Blas, Stephanie Flores, Marianne Cayetano, Marinel Falalimpa, Erream May Badilles, Marla Buenabjo, Ella Limoico, Brandie Matsumoto, Andrea Ramos, Katelyn Palacios, Judy Andebor, Nicole Arboliras, Jenny Lee, Marlene Lumabi, Chevy Alipio.

“We are all optimistic about our future despite the pandemic,” Jenny Lee said. “We are always looking for opportunities to excel our basketball skills and teamwork skills. Since the pandemic, we have been trying to stay in shape at home. We share exercises for our players through our group chat so that everyone can remain in shape,” she added.

“I think everyone is doing their best to prevent Covid-19 from spreading in the CNMI. As a sister, a friend, a coach, I believe that it is also important to share awareness on social distancing, and getting proper information about Covid-19.”
