It was a nail-biting game between JSN and Old iSkool throughout the first two quarters of play. Old iSkool had the upper hand with Ed Pangelinan torching his way from beyond the arc. Momentum was clearly in Old iSkool’s hands which led 30-28 at the end of the first half.

In the third quarter, Pangelinan continued to drop points from beyond the arc, sinking two triples and a few more baskets to keep his team ahead of JSN, 49-43.

In the opening of the fourth quarter, JSN shifted gears as started to cut the deficit. Jhun Tabora and Tend Alegre combined for 14 points. Old iSkool had no answers, allowing JSN to land a spot in the finals, 70-62.

In the second game of the semi-finals, Blue Haus and IT&E vied for the other ticket to the finals. Blue Haus’ Errol Peredo made his minutes count as his efficiency in the paint gave his team an advantage over IT&E to end the first half with Blue Haus ahead, 34-31.

No matter what IT&E did, Peredo answered with a basket. IT&E was simply overwhelmed with Peredo’s production. Peredo scored 24 points while Guiab contributed 16 markers. The prolific duo led their team to victory, 82-70, and a chance to win the championship.

Blue Haus’ Peredo and JSN’s Mungcal were named the Players of the Game.

JSN will take on the No.1 seed, Blue Haus, in the finals set for Sunday, March 9, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym.
