(Asian Football Confederation) — The AFC Women’s Football Day 2020 is fast approaching and it promises to be another successful campaign celebrating women’s football across Asia-Pacific.

This will be the sixth year since the inauguration of the AFC Women’s Football Day in 2014 and it has been successful thanks to the support and involvement of all member associations. The NMI Football Association is an associate member of the AFC.

This year, AFC will celebrate this auspicious day again on March 8 — International Women’s Day — and honor all the involvement and contribution of women in football.

The AFC appreciates the hard work and dedication shown by so many women and it is celebrated by the AFC, the only confederation to dedicate a specific day in the calendar for the women’s game.

While March 8 marks women’s involvement in football, the AFC continues to put in place various programs highlighting the contribution of women to the sport.
