The Blue Eagles were up against speed which The Game’s roster was filled with. The Blue Eagles, however, had range and power. Preston Basa opened up the scoreboard by sinking a shot from beyond the arc while De Guzman slashed his way inside with six points.

The Game replied with three-pointers courtesy of Dayao and Sablan, but it was Arellano who stole the spotlight as he led the opening quarter with nine points using his body to force his way inside while drawing a few fouls. Because of his heroics, his team trailed by just two points.

The Blue Eagles tried to hold onto the lead but only De Guzman, Basa and Schmidt remained consistent. The Game gradually tied the score as Fidelino found his stroke, scoring seven points while Factor, Sablan and Dayao kept the range with a triple each to end the first half, 37-37.

Despite The Game’s efforts, they could not match the Blue Eagles’ inside game in the third canto as Lizama dropped five points while Basa rained from the three-point lane alongside Schmidt as the Blue Eagles regained the lead, 59-52.

The Game was unable to deliver from underneath the rim, and its players were forced to create makes from around the perimeter. But without the high percentage shots, they continued to fall further behind, eventually bowing down to the Blue Eagles which won 83-74.
