Old iSkool is one of the top contenders in the Masters Division and it shows in its victory against Saimar Pilot HRP, 90-74.

Old iSkool did live up to its name as its players took a while to get their rhythm flowing in the opening quarter. HRP seized control as Santos and Dayrit joined hands for a combined 11 points to give their team a 22-9 advantage.

HRP’s reign ended in the second canto as Old iSkool exploded to reduce the gap. Cosino put his height to use, powering the run with eight points while Camacho and De Guzman supported with additional buckets. HRP’s players held on for as long as they could but Old iSkool continued to deliver, this time with Abuy bombing threes to end the third quarter in a 58-58 deadlock.

Old iSkool’s rally gave its players the boost they needed to finish the final quarter strong as Abuy prolonged his efficiency from beyond the arc while Pangelinan stole the spotlight with 13 points to put HRP out of reach en route to a 90-74 triumph.

Eats Easy x The Game 80, Vision RNV 75

In the Open Division, Eats Easy bested Vision RNV.

RNV was in control at first as its players’ teamwork shined. Their ball movement kept scoring options open with Cosino and Rueda attacking from the inside while Esdrelon shot the lights out from behind the three-point line. It was no different during the second quarter as the rest of the team played with aggression, drawing a handful of fouls to chip in points from the free-throw line and hold a nine-point distance.

But after the halftime break, Eats Easy’s players suddenly found what they needed to get back in the game.

Dayao heated up, displaying his range with four consecutive triples. Sablan and Abobo then joined in with a few long-range buckets of their own to quickly snatch the lead 59-58.

The RNV players did their best to stay alive but with fatigue lurking behind them, Eats Easy led by Sablan’s 10 points notched a stunning victory, 80-75.
