GIVE ME (all mankind) RESPECT or GIVE me Death, is virtually the dare of the protesters in the world-wide protests under this world-wide pandemic.

But the protest speaks volumes to how the People of the world have been experiencing the killings and injustices perpetrated by the very Peace Officers who took an oath to “Protect & Serve” the People.  But we should not be so surprised that people are getting out to protest under these pandemic conditions because when any people have seen or had enough, they will RISE-UP regardless of the challenges.  In this case, the pandemic is secondary to ending over 400 years of racism in America.

The old sayings of “the Chickens Coming Home to Roost” and “the straw that broke the camel’s back” both imply that We as a People have reached the point of experiencing TOOO MUCH and that real CHANGE must come — ENOUGH!  The Boston Tea Party was the “final-straw” for the Revolutionary War, Rosa Parks “started chickens coming home to roost” which invoked America fulling its Creed of All Men being created Equal giving birth to the Civil Rights Movement, and now George Floyd has become the “final straw” for the Black Lives Matter Movement and for other IDENTICAL Movements throughout our planet as the world has been AWAKENED.

From my personal perspective, today is just a harsh “reality-check” of what Dr. King said to us in his last speech, “I may not get to the Promise Land with you” where there is full Equality with Respect for Everyone. He knew there were threats on his life and that he might be killed but I would like to believe he was also a man of vision knowing that future incidents like George Floyd would surface before “We as a People” (all Americans) would reach the Promise Land were everyone is treated equally with respect.

The Civil Rights Movement was about “equality” making it simple which is why I also think it is important to “keep-it-simple” as this is really about “a basic human right — RESPECT.”  Being Disrespectful is considered a no-no in all human societies which is why respect is a human expectation between all humans. They are using all kinds of buzz-phrases like ending unconscious biasness, ending racism, ending police brutality, ending white supremacy and a few other phrases that all imply a form of real disrespect.  The way to END the ugly behavior is to START respecting everyone “are we not our brother’s keeper.”  It is also not disrespectful to talk about OUR Public Officials as it is really our job as citizens to stay on their case to keep them on-task and straight especially when some are even REAL Criminals, not honorable.

Politics is now dictating the folly of “better training” when the real problem of “racist officers” which requires “better screening” because you can’t “Train-out Racism” that is in a person’s nature or belief, duh!  We need to hire people who are not racist in the first place using the same standard phycological requirements to be an FBI Agent. WE need a real Federal Standard for ALL Peace (Police) Officers in America with a Data-base to track them. But locally we don’t have a problem with our officers but the folly of our politics in this Pandemic.  It was great to see our Honorable Governor and other top GOP officials out waving for our Ayuyu Grads but I didn’t see a single Republican of the CNMI out Protesting for George Floyd, which for me is just more PROOF that I was right about the Governor and some of the GOP being SCHEEMING Politicians for votes in their very nature. They will get out and risk Covid-19 for a “phot-op waiving for students” but did nothing to protest the HORROR of racism and police brutality that the entire WORLD has embraced. It’s obvious to me the plan was to gain GOP voter support waiving for students but there was NOTHING for them to gain by waiving for George Floyd.  So we can easily see WHAT they value most as it’s not WHO they value in-the-cheap-seats, ONLY our vote. Every voter who witnessed or know about this kind of behavior by our GOP needs to do You-Know-What to the GOP, which is becoming common knowledge to “clean-house,” thank God.

I wasn’t caught off-guard at myself and it was really easy getting out at least once to protest with only one lung as the virus would literally be a death sentence for me. But since the founding of America there has been a defiance to death in order to fight against tyranny and evil in our Government. The willingness to protest in defiance with the threat of death is not new, as it dates back to the Revolutionary War with  “give me liberty or give me death” and “I regret that I have but one life to give for my country” and more recently Dr. King asked used and even challenged us in the Civil Rights Movement by saying “everyone is going to die, but the question is, what are you willing to die for.” I’m not being foolish by continuing to protest exposing myself every day and by not wearing a mask and keeping my hands clean after contacts, but it truly dawned on me that I guess I am along with many others as we can see are ready to die for the WORLD to be a BETTER PLACE, not just for Blacks to have true RESPECT but for EVERY Human in EVERY WAY on our planet Earth.
