DPS looking into sexual misconduct allegations against former Rep. Ed Propst

(DPS) — Over the course of the last several weeks, the Department of Public Safety has received a number of complaints of sexual misconduct and sexual harassment against former Rep. Edwin K. Propst.

At this time, DPS can confirm that several complaints have been filed, and that the department is currently investigating the matter. In collaboration with the Office of the Attorney General, DPS  is gathering and reviewing documents in relation to this investigation.  Due to the number and seriousness of the complaints, and the sensitivity of the charges as they relate to the victims, the investigation is being conducted in a thorough manner.  

Further details pertaining to the case are not being shared in an effort to protect the victims in this case and any potential victim(s) who have not yet come forward. DPS encourages any victim(s) who have yet to come forward to reach the Special Victims Unit at 664-9042.
