DCCA-Child Care and Development Fund program accepting applications for new families

(Office of the Governor) — The CNMI Department of Community and Cultural Affairs has announced that interested families may begin submitting applications on October 19, 2020 for the Child Care and Development Fund program to be placed on its wait list.

The program requires that applicants meet income guidelines for the household as well as approved activities, which include, working, in a job-related training, or participating in education.

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, the following priorities for this application will be implemented: front liners, such as law enforcement, public safety officers, and emergency medical services, assigned to Covid-19 activities with direct contact of individuals and essential workers, such as, retail cashiers, gas attendants, sanitation workers, bank tellers, child care teachers, and caregivers.
