Saipan Unity Lions Club, Teen Unity Leos conduct cleanup drive, donate trash bins to schools

 THE Saipan Unity Lions Club led by its president Alicia Barbo conducted a cleanup drive on Sunday in the Tanapag beach area.

Club marketing communications chair Eva Cuevas said the 19 Lions and Teen Unity Leo Club members collected 14 bags of trash.

“The cleanup operation is part of our monthly activities for the community,” she added.

Lions district first vice governor Atoy Banting joined the club members.

After the cleanup, Cuevas said they prepared and repainted empty steel drums before distributing them to different schools, which will use them as trash bins.

The steel drums were donated by Pacific Islands Club and Pacific Eco Laundry.

The Lions thanked PIC general manager Gloria Cavanaugh for her support.
