(CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency) — Based on information received from the National Weather Service on Guam,Thursday at 11 a.m., heavy showers and possible thunderstorms are developing over Tinian and Saipan and adjacent coastal waters.

Gov. Ralph DLG Torres is advising residents of Saipan and Tinian to be alert for heavy downpours, low visibility, and for brief flooding of roads. If you will be outside, seek shelter if you see lightning or hear thunder. Boaters can expect visibility down to half a mile in heavy showers. Stay below deck if thunder is heard or lightning is seen.
