COMMUNITY volunteer Max Aguon plans to beautify Laulau Beach by planting more coconut trees in the area.

“I am also doing some landscaping there,” he added.

On Sunday, he said, he collected 12 bags of trash, including picnic garbage, at Laulau Beach.

Aguon said he appreciates the help provided by other community volunteers, including his co-worker at the Division of Parks and Recreation, Akiki Alexander, who helped him collect 1,200 pounds of trash at Pakpak Beach, Sugar Dock Beach, Kilili Beach and Micro Beach.

On Saturday, he said, he worked alone and picked up 540 pounds of trash, including at the Chalan Kanoa cemetery.

Aguon thanked U.S. Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan for continuously providing him with bottled water and other refreshments during cleanup operations.
