THE administration on Friday submitted to the Special Committee for Fiscal Review of Executive Expenditures an inventory of items bought by the governor’s office.

These include electronic equipment and devices that were purchased for the offices of the governor, administrative staff, the chief of staff, the special assistant for administration, the special assistant for legislative review, the senior policy advisor, legal counsel, the press secretary and policy analyst.

Special Assistant for Administration Mathilda A. Rosario told the committee chairman, Rep. Ralph Yumul that the governor’s office conducted a full inventory, which “goes above and beyond what was requested by the special committee.”

Some of the items, however, are not tagged with property number stickers. These include a black JBL Boom Box, two Bose Quiet Comfort headphones, two pieces of GoPro Hero action cameras, a coffee table and a glass display shelf.

The tagged items  include an executive desk, six executive chairs, and two air-conditioning units.

Rosario said there are two items that the governor’s office has not been able to fully account for.

She said two government laptops were issued to a former employee when he worked for the governor’s office  two years ago. When the employee left, he was asked to return the laptops, but returned only one HP laptop without its power cable.

Rosario said the former employee never returned the second laptop because it was damaged by Super Typhoon Yutu. He was told to return it damaged or not, but the former employee never did.

Rosario assured the House committee chairman that retrieval of the items and a final accounting “will be pursued.”
