Marine sports operators wanted

THE Division of Coastal Resources Management is looking for marine sports operators who can provide valuable feedback regarding the Saipan Lagoon User Education Plan.

The plan will provide content on environmentally friendly and safety practices for an eco-certification marine sports operator course at  Northern Marianas College.

Those who take and pass the course can avail themselves of a "third tier status operation" in the Division of Coastal Resources Management Marine Sports Operator Permit and will be eligible for a 25% discount on permitting fees.

To provide input, marine sports operators are asked to choose to either schedule a meeting with DCRM, review the plan and submit comments to DCRM, or take a DCRM survey.

Marine sports operators who take the survey may receive complimentary 'Reef Report' stickers from DCRM.

The deadline for all submissions is Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020.
