EMON Masonic Lodge 179 celebrated its 28th anniversary on Saipan at Micro Beach on Sunday.

"Freemasons always believe that charity extends beyond the grave,” said Joel Subang, the lodge worshipful master.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been no official meetings until further notice from the Grand Lodge in the Philippines.

However, Subang said they will plant flame trees on Airport Road on Aug. 22 and join the International Coastal Cleanup on Sept. 19.

In addition, Subang said Emon Lodge 179 has “adopted” the area from Atkins Kroll Toyota to Oleai Beach Bar & Grill on Beach Road, which the freemasons will regularly maintain and clean up.

They have also teamed up with the Rotary Club of Saipan in “adopting” Suicide Cliff as part of a cleanup program of the Governor's Council of Economic Advisers.
