THE Saipan mayor’s office, as of Tuesday, had uprooted and removed 123 tree stumps in the airport area, field operations director Joann Aquino said.

The mayor’s office started the operation last week to allow the Rotary Club of Saipan to plant trees in the area this Saturday, she added.

The participants will start planting trees at 8 a.m., Aquino said.
