ASKED for an update regarding the autopsy on the two women who were fatally shot inside a restaurant in San Antonio on Dec. 16, 2019, the Department of Public Safety said it is still waiting for the go-ahead from the Office of the Attorney General.

No new updates,” DPS spokesman Dre Pangelinan added.

Last week, DPS said it told the AG’s office that an autopsy had to be performed on homicide victims Ria Na Lim, 43, and Lim Hua Choi, 53.

Lim was the operator of Rice Cake Best Food Restaurant and Choi was her employee. Their bodies were found in the San Antonio restaurant on the morning of Dec. 16, 2019.

DPS said it has not ruled out robbery as a motive for the case, adding that “individuals close to the victims told police that both victims always carried a shoulder bag with them.”

At the scene, police were unable to locate the shoulder bags. One of the shoulder bags is white with a floral design while the second is black. Their brands are unknown.

DPS is asking the public to be on the lookout for these two shoulder bags. “If you notice the described bags in an unusual area or place, please do not hesitate [to] call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 664-9042, or if you wish to remain anonymous you may call the CNMI Crime Stoppers Hotline at 234-7272.”
