TINIAN Mayor Edwin Aldan expressed appreciation for the members and supporters of the LGBTIQ community who recently painted the main pavilion at Kammer Beach on July 10 in celebration of PRIDE Month.

“That is a wonderful gesture that helps beautify our island,” the mayor said.

The municipal government will continue to support the efforts of  non-profit organizations that benefit the island, he added.

“When you reduce life to black and white, you never see rainbows,” Aldan said. “We love all of our people and we will continue to support each and every one of them.”

Aldan also encourages other groups to continue assisting the government in initiating and implementing  community projects.

For its part, the LGBTIQ community on Tinian is thankful for the support of the Tinian Mayor’s Office, the 17th Tinian Municipal Council and its Chairwoman Thomasa Mendiola, JC Café, Sweeties Corner, Fresku Catering, and the office of Rep. Sheila Babauta.
