THE office of Rep. Luis John DLG Castro on Capital Hill will be providing document copying assistance for Precinct 1 constituents applying for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance/Federal Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, or PUA/FPUC every Tuesday and Wednesday beginning Tuesday, June 16, 2020, until December 26, 2020.

“We know that our constituents have waited for the opportunity to apply for assistance during this emergency, and our office has anticipated that many of constituents will apply for this help, so we thought that since some offices have opened the doors for residents to prepare their documents in anticipation for the process of applying and we have assisted constituents in applying for previous disasters, my staff and I decided to utilize that same experience to those who will need to prepare their documents,” Castro said.

The documents required for PUA/FPUC applicants include a government-issued identification card, a Social Security card, and if applicable, most recent federal income tax forms, check stubs, other proof of earnings, evidence of self-employment earnings, business license along with federal/CNMI tax forms, profit and loss statement, and proof of business loss due to disaster.

“Of course, due to the Legislature practicing social distancing and our compliance to those orders, we are asking constituents to call our office numbers and email us for appointments so we can limit interaction and streamline the process for everyone who may avail of our office for help,” Castro said. “Even if it’s to just digitize their documents for online applications, we are ready to help them with that as well. We feel in this situation, any little way we can help them out to provide for themselves and their families, we will do it, and depending on the need, those services may be modified as we go on with this outreach.”

For appointments, contact 664-8903 or 287-6032 or 285-9117/0728 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., and/or email This email address is being protected from spambots.
