McDONALD’S Middle Road and its branches on Guam are again accepting dine-in customers.

On Middle Road, McDonald’s will be open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. McDonald’s Garapan is set to open later this month.

“We’re happy to continue to serve our customers safely at McDonald’s,” owner and operator Marcia Ayuyu said.

She added that McDonald’s has taken additional steps with the cleaning and sanitation procedures at its restaurants.

“We have also complied with all local mandates to ensure the health, well-being and safety of our customers and employees,” she said.

Seating has been rearranged to promote social distancing and allow for “contactless” service, she added.

All tables are cleaned after each use, and there is frequent cleaning of high touchpoint surfaces, Ayuyu said. “We want to assure our customers that their safety remains our top priority.”

To ensure the safety of its employees, there will be daily temperature screening before every shift, frequent hand washing and the use of gloves and masks at all times, Ayuyu said.

In addition, McDonald’s has reduced its dine-in capacity to 25% of its original occupancy, including employees.

“We are happy to welcome back families who want to enjoy their favorite meals at McDonald’s,” its general manager Jocelyn Asistores said.

Asistores said they are reminding customers to wear a face mask upon entering the restaurant, while ordering food and when exiting the facility.

She said the drive-thru service remains open daily at McDonald’s Middle Road from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In an interview, Joe E. Ayuyu Jr. area supervisor for McDonald's of Yigo in Guam, said they already have a “mobile order and pay” app that allows customers to skip the line, pre-order and pick up their favorite meals curbside, at the front counter or drive-thru.

Mobile order and pay is available from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

He reiterated that McDonald’s is committed to follow all the guidelines from the federal and local governments.

“It’s a new experience and it’s also going to be a ‘new journey’ for the customers when they come,” he added.
