(Press Release) — In the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, the Latte Training Academy Inc. and industry partner, InteliSecure, Inc. have launched the first cybersecurity operations center in Saipan.

The Colorado-based, InteliSecure, Inc., was committed to beginning operations at the beginning of the second calendar quarter and despite the Covid environment has followed through with the hiring of seven full-time analysts and are in the process of interviewing and selecting additional employees to support its operational demands.

“We are extremely excited about the efforts that InteliSecure has made in their commitment to the CNMI. It goes without saying that it is unprecedented that in an environment where our community is reeling from the impacts of the Covid-19 crisis, that the CNMI has found a way to not only launch a new industry, but generate employment which pays beyond the minimum requirement” said LTA president Juan-Carlos Benitez.

InteliSecure, Inc. executives visited the CNMI in early December following conversation with the Latte Training Academy Inc. about setting-up an Asia-Pacific security operations center to support its client base across the globe. During their site visit, InteliSecure met with local business and government leaders, as well as the general public to discuss their plans to set up operations in the CNMI. Following their site visit, the organization committed to setting up operations by the beginning of the second calendar quarter of 2020.

“One of the most attractive qualities about the CNMI was the ability for InteliSecure Inc. to service its global customer base across all time zones. The firm has operations in the U.K., the United States and now in the Asia-Pacific region. The ability to for the firm to source a U.S. workforce in the Asia-Pacific region was a key driver for their decision to launch. As an organization that trains and prepares the CNMI workforce, we saw the ability to bring not only a new industry, but the jobs that the industry will generate is extremely gratifying. At the Latte Training Academy, our focus has been to ensure that we provide quality employment opportunities and employees to the CNMI marketplace. Our partnership with InteliSecure Inc. is a key achievement of our organization and we intend to fully replicate this template with other industry partners within the Information Technology sector,” says LTA officer Ed Arriola Jr.

As part of their partnership arrangement, candidates for employment with InteliSecure, Inc. must be referred to the organization through the Latte Training Academy Inc. Candidates are required to achieve their CompTIA certification through LTA prior to referral for employment. The screening process is intended to allow InteliSecure to quickly ramp up and support their operational demand. LTA recently completed its second cohort of its CompTIA Information Technology Fundamentals course in May using a new on-line platform for instruction.

“It was a real adjustment for the recent cohort to attend on-line, however I am extremely pleased with the outcome. With our ability to now have the CompTIA certification proctored on-line, we are able to have students quickly gain their certification credentials and be quickly referred for employment,” says LTA information instructor Herm Kintol.
