(DPS) — On Friday, April 24, 2020, at about 3:25 p.m., the Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a theft incident that had occurred at Paupau Beach in San Roque. Police were dispatched to the scene.

At about 3:31 p.m., police arrived at the scene and met with the caller. The caller told police that about 2:00 p.m., they parked their vehicle by the first pavilion to eat lunch. While eating lunch, a white sedan pulled up right next to their vehicle for about a minute before leaving. The caller got back into their vehicle and drove around the island without getting out of their vehicle.

When they decided to make a stop for a drink they noticed their purse was not in the vehicle.

Items reported missing from the vehicle include: one brown purse with a brown carrying strap and a gold zipper, one small-sized black leather wallet, one brown and green owl coin purse, one set of keys, one black purse with a gloss black carry handle with a circular design on the front side, one Gucci long-sized wallet, and a few personal identification cards.

The white sedan is described as having the rear passenger door being a different color, possibly gray or brownish primer.

If you or someone you know has any information relating to this crime, or on the vehicle described, do not hesitate to call 911 immediately. If you wish to remain anonymous you may call the CNMI Crime Stoppers Hotline at 234-7272. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest.
