ALL Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. personnel tested negative for Covid-19, CHCC Chief Executive Officer Esther Muna said on Monday.

Since Thursday, CHCC has been conducting tests among its healthcare staff using SolGent DiaPlexQ Covid-19 test kits.

“We did that to all our healthcare workers and they all came back negative. That was a relief,” Muna said, adding that CHCC is also considering antibody tests.

She said as soon as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issues an emergency use authorization, CHCC will obtain antibody test kits and the required equipment.

The last time CHCC announced that a local patient tested positive for Covid-19 was April 17.

“We always have to be cautious,” Muna said, adding: “You don’t want to think that this means we are safe. We will be working with the governor and the task force to come up with a plan to make sure there is no second wave.”
