THE Saipan Marianas Lions Club donated five boxes or 250 pieces of medical face-masks to the governor’s Covid-19 Task Force last week at the Pacific Islands Club, one of the island’s designated quarantine facilities.

Members of the Saipan Marianas Lions Club led by its president Ladyvir Canape have donated face-masks to the governor’s Covid-19 Task Force.

“That’s our gesture of support for the front-liners who face great risks to their own health as they ensure the safety of community members,” Saipan Marianas Lions Club president Ladyvir Canape said, referring to the donation.

She added that the club also distributed grocery items to community members, including club members, who have been furloughed or whose working hours have been reduced.

Canape said these donations were funded by club officers and members themselves.
