E-Land Group/Micronesia Resort Inc. chief executive officer Brian Shin said: “This is a time when we need to pull together. And there are people who we need to remember for they are putting their lives on the line to ensure the safety of the community.”

He added, “This [donation] is not a lot, but this is something to cheer them up, and hopefully, they can have a smile on their face, at least for a few minutes. The people recognize what our front-liners are doing for the community, and it’s a good thing and they should be proud of what they are doing. We want to show our appreciation as a company through our humble donation.”

Governor Torres, for his part, thanked E-Land for its donation. “This is a much appreciated and a welcome donation for our nurses, doctors and other healthcare providers,” he said.

E-Land Group’s three hotels on island are Coral Ocean Golf Resort, the Pacific Islands Club and Kensington.
