THE Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation’s “Romance in the Marianas” generated about $5,000, event chair Rose Ajoste said on Wednesday.

“It was a success thanks to the generous support of individuals, businesses, and organizations in the community,” she said, adding that 120 community members attended the event on Feb. 14 at Saipan World Resort.

“We are grateful because our work depends on donations,” she said, adding aside from cash they also received in-kind donations and gifts.

She said EVM is thankful to its sponsors and supporters: Saipan World Resort, Life in the Son Christian Fellowship, The Shack Saipan, Tahine’s TV Productions, Terlaje’s Woodwork, Bali Fashion, Latte Built Gym, Everest Kitchen, Joeten Enterprises, T Galleria, Rosal Zest Enterprises, Diana Clayton, and the Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence.

Ajoste said the foundation is also grateful to Pastor Eric Abragan of Life in the Son, Catherine Perry who served as the mistress of ceremonies, Cherlyn Cabrera-Osung, Patrick “Chinaman” Arriola, James Selepeo, Chaen Mendiola, and Liz Triche.

“Thank you as well to our daily supporters for dropping off donations at the EVM Outreach Center,” Ajoste said, adding that the center serves those in need of clothing, shoes, and household items.

The center is also a thrift store for those looking for affordable items.

“We share God’s love through our work,” Ajoste said.

The EVM Outreach Center is located on Middle Road in Gualo Rai across from Bali Fashion. For more information, call 235-2340.
