Governor, MVA, health officials to speak at chamber of commerce meeting

(Press Release) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly general membership meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the Seaside Hall of Kanoa Resort. Topics of discussion will be the novel coronavirus and the chamber plans for 2020.

The guest speakers include:

• Gov. Ralph DLG Torres who will speak on the executive order suspending travelers from mainland China from flying into the CNMI.

• Marianas Visitors Authority officials who will be giving updated information about visitor arrival projections in light of the novel coronavirus outbreak and how MVA is adapting to the changing tourism landscape.

• Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.-Public Health and Emergency Preparedness officials who will provide updates on how CHCC and partners are responding to the threats of the novel coronavirus on the Commonwealth.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin promptly at 12 noon. The luncheon fee is $25/chamber member and $35/non-member.
