THE Zoning Board has approved the conditional use application of Marianas Counseling Services.

Acting zoning administrator Yubert Alepuyo said the applicant, Crispin M. Sablan, is proposing to occupy an existing building on Tract No. 22507-R3 in Chalan Kanoa and operate it as an office.

“Office use” is permitted in the district as a conditional use, Alepuyo said.

He noted that the applicant will provide parking spaces and develop the existing landscape.

Sablan told the Zoning Board that his office at the Marianas Business Plaza was affected by Super Typhoon Yutu.

He said in 2016, he secured approval for the Chalan Kanoa building from the zoning office when he first applied for a conditional use permit.

Sablan said the services he provides are permitted in the district as conditional use.

He assured the board that his company does not pose any danger to residents. “We have had no violent incidents when we operated at the Marianas Business Plaza,” he added.
