THE Rotary Club of Saipan donated five brush cutters and accessories to the Saipan mayor’s office on Tuesday.

Club president Marcia Ayuyu said they saw the need for brush cutters especially for the mayor’s beautification program on island which, she added, is aligned with the Rotarians’ goal to help preserve the environment.

Ayuyu was accompanied by club vice president Sean Ficke, sergeant-at-arms and past president Curtis Dancoe, and Rotary Foundation director Agnes M. McPhetres in donating the brush cutters and accessories to the mayor’s office.

Mayor David M. Apatang expressed his appreciation for the club’s generosity.

He said the donation is very timely as some of his office equipment need to be repaired after many years of use.

The Rotary club and the mayor’s office are partners in the island wide beautification program, Apatang said.
