TWO employees of the CNMI Museum have completed the Marianas Visitors Authority tour guide certification program.

“It’s a very cooperative venture because the museum gets a little boost and the employees as well,” MVA tour guide manager Kuen-Hee Han said.

The certification will serve as an incentive for the employees to work harder, she added.

Hee-Han said the museum needs certified tour guides since it attracts a lot of visitors.

“It is also important to make sure that tour guides go through the certification program,” she said, adding that one of the classes is held at the museum.

The two museum personnel are Archie Ajoste and John D. Reyes. They were among the 15 individuals who completed the program in December.

Since the tour guide certification program started in October 2017 MVA has certified over 300 individuals already, Hee-Han said.

MVA also plans to extend the program to Rota and Tinian, she added.
